Money Back With Top CashBack

April 8th, 2010

I know it’s been a while since I last posted, well over twelve months but I try to only write about things after I’ve tried them for a while and make sure they work.

I try and resist the temptation to jump on the bandwagon to promote the latest going thing to make some fast money only for it to disappear a week or month later, or to find it was a con.

This means I tend to promote things a lot later than other people and possibly miss out on some money. This doesn’t matter to me, I would rather tell you about stuff I’ve been using for a while and I know that works.

You might have noticed that HomePages Friends no longer exists and Slicethepie is still there but not the money maker it used to be.

One thing that has stood the test of time is Top CashBack. I first wrote about it over twelve months ago, and I’m still using it to this day.

Just to give you an idea of some of the money you can earn back from them, here are some of the deals as of today:

Car Insurance

  • Aviva £75 cashback
  • AA up to £50
  • Hastings £58
  • More Th>n up to £100

Slicethepie

Slicethepie Update

Slicethepie is no longer the nice money maker it used to be. The payment for 3, 4, and 5 star scouts has been reduced to £0.06, £0.07, and £0.10 per track. That’s ok, but 1 and 2 star scouts now earn vouchers. If your only intention of joining Slicethepie is to ear money, I would give it a miss for now.

I told you in my last post I’d have some money makers for you that I didn’t earn anything for you signing up for.

Well here’s one. And you haven’t got to pay me to tell you about it. Stop looking on Ebay for “how to make money on the internet”!

Slicethepie is a web site that pays you to review music by unsigned artists.

You will like this if you are interested in listening to music. There’s a wide variety of music. Some you will like, some you will hate, depending on your own taste. A lot of it is actually very good.

The amount you get paid per track depends on your scout rating. You start off at one star rating and can work your way up to five stars.

  • One star earns £0.03 per track
  • Two stars earns £0.05 per track
  • Three stars earns £0.07 per track
  • Four stars earns £0.09 per track
  • Five stars earns £0.12 per track

Your scout rating increases with your review accuracy over a number of reviews. It’s easy to go from one star to two but gets increasingly more difficult to go up to the next levels. If your reviews consist of just one word such as good, bad, rubbish, etc, you probably won’t get past one star.

What Slicethepie want is a review with some thought that will actually help the artist. Criticism is allowed as long as it’s constructive. If you think a song is good, why? If you think a song is bad, why? What are the good and bad parts of the song? What did you like about it and what didn’t you like about it?

It’s as easy as that.

How much money can you earn?

Let’s assume you reach two star scout rating, which should be pretty easy, and earn £0.05 per track. You have to listen to each song for one minute before you can review it.

You will probably be slow to start with while you are getting used to it so we’ll say you review ten songs an hour. That works out at £0.50 an hour. Do this for one hour five days a week (take a break the weekend), that’s £2.50 a week. After two weeks, you reach the minimum £5.00 to get paid into your Paypal account. That’s an extra ten pounds each month.

I know that’s well below the minimum working wage but you will soon learn to speed your reviews up. Think about what you are going to type while you are listening to the song. One minute to listen to the song and say one minute to type your review.  That then becomes thirty reviews an hour, or £1.50 an hour, or £30 each month for just one hour a day listening to music.

If you like listening to music and have more than one hour to spare each day, you can earn a lot more. Some people do spend a few hours every day doing this. If you reach a higher scout rating, which many people do, again your earnings will be a lot more.

Remember though, Slicethepie isn’t just about earning money. It’s as much about the music. If you don’t like listening to music, don’t even visit the site!

Take This Information Seriously

November 3rd, 2008

I want you to take the information on this web site seriously. It could make you some money. In fact it will make you some money, there is no way you won’t make money. And what’s more, it won’t cost you anything.

I’ve seen some of the information I’m giving you here being sold on Ebay.

If I charged you to look at this web site, would the information on it have a higher value?

Why pay someone on Ebay how to get paid to search the internet when I tell you here how to do it for free.

Why pay someone on Ebay how to get cash back on your shopping when I tell you here how to do it for free.

If you sign up to Top CashBack through this web site, I earn a commission when you’ve reached a certain level of cash back.

Why would I want to be greedy and charge you for this?

Keep coming back and I’ll have plenty more for you. Some of the things I’ve got coming up for you won’t earn me anything and I’m not going to charge you for it.

Top CashBack

October 24th, 2008

This is another easy opportunity to earn money without having any experience or a web site.

If you haven’t heard of the cash back sites, you get money back when you make purchases online. These can range from home or car insurance to electrical goods at major retailers.

My favourite, and in my opinion the best, is Top CashBack. It’s completely free to join. They don’t charge you any admin or annual fees. They pay you 100% of the cash back that they receive.

If you want to make a few easy pounds, you could sign up for some free trial offers.

  • Sign up for a free trial subscription to Emusic, download some music and earn £4.00
  • Sign up for a free trial at Napster, download some music and earn £3.00
  • Sign up for a free trial at Audible, download two books and earn £4.00

That’s an easy £11 to start with, it’s not going to make you rich, but how much are you earning online now?

This is just a start. Have you ever been interested in seeing what’s on your credit report. You can with a free trial of Credit Expert. Guess what, you can get £6.50 cash back for it.

I wanted a new LCD TV. I reserved it online at Currys and got £5.70 cash back.

I bought some memory for my computer online at Crucial Technology and got £2.94 cash back.

Do you buy items on Ebay? You can earn 40% of Ebay’s revenue on every purchase you make. This will vary from a few pennies to a few pounds on every purchase depending on what you are buying but it’s money you wouldn’t normally get.

This is a good one. Let’s say you’ve just compared all the gas and electric company prices and found your cheapest is to switch both to E.ON.  You get £30 cash back if you do it through the Top CashBack web site.

They also have recurring earners. These are the shopping comparison web sites Kelkoo, The High Street Web, Cascade Compare, and Search Chief. You can do a search on each of these daily and earn about £3 every month.

All of this is really just the tip of the iceburg. Once you sign up and take a look at all of the retailers you can earn cash back from, you will see the potential of how much you can really earn.

HomePages Friends

October 19th, 2008

HomePages Friends / MySearchFunds no longer exists.

Fomerly known as MySearchFunds, this has got to be the easiest way to make money on the internet at the moment.

No web site required, no experience required, just access to the internet.

All you do is use the internet as you normally would and get paid for your searches. You might have to use a different search engine to what you are using now, but it’s worth it if you are getting paid for it.

Payment works like this:

  • You are paid 50% of the company’s revenue for each search you do
  • For every friend that you sign up, you earn 10% of the company’s revenue for each search they do
  • For each friend they sign up, you earn 5% of the company’s revenue for each search they do
  • And for every friend they sign up, you earn 2.5% of the company’s revenue for each search they do

That’s right you earn money for three levels of referrals.

I’ve found it works out at about 2.2p for my searches, 0.22p for my friends, 0.11p for friends friends, and 0.06p for my friends friends friends.

Let’s say you do 10 searches a day, that works out to £6.60 a month.

But what if you sign up 10 friends who 10 searches a day, and each of them sign up 10 friends, and each of them all sign up 10 friends, all doing 10 searches a day.

That works out to £226.20 a month, or £2,714.40 a year.

This is just for what you would be doing anyway. Some people will search more than 10 times a day, some less. Some people will sign up more than ten friends, some less.
